Project management – Fundamentals for IT specialists

This training module will provide IT specialists with an understanding of the fundamentals principles of project management, covering in 2 hours the following topics:

• What does a PM do? Explain the role and the value added by a project manager. What a PM is not?
• Product development vs working as developer in a project
• Which are the project constraints and project management processes
• Principles of agile project management
• Impact a software developer has over project: scope, time, cost, quality, risk. What is risk? Risk for whom?
• What a software developer control and manage?
• What is success in a project?
• Putting all together: what does all this mean to me?
